India Sotheby’s International Realty recently came out with a yearly Luxury Outlook survey. As per the results revealed in this survey, a whopping 75% of High-Net-worth Individuals (HNIs) and Ultra High-Net-worth Individuals (UHNIs) were of the opinion that real estate would do well over the next couple of years. Interestingly, 74% of the participants of the survey also believed that real estate is an important asset to hedge against inflation.
Real estate remains an appealing Property investment option, with 61% of HNIs and UHNIs planning to purchase property in 2023-24. Affluent investors prefer high-rise apartments (34%), which are closely followed by farmhouses and vacation homes (30%).
The growing inflation and mortgage rates have also not deterred the growth momentum in Indian real estate. This is especially true for luxury real estate and holiday homes. The survey also shed light on the top four cities that people were interested in investing in, and the winners were Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru. All four regions have grown in popularity and remain top choices for homebuyers.
